Not everyone has the budget for a grand scale wedding. Big weddings are fabulous, but in this ever-changing economy, many couples are opting for a simple ceremony and reserving their savings for a downpayment on a home instead. In fact, more and more people are deciding to elope or hold a small wedding and then have a party to celebrate at a later date.
We have the perfect solution for you!
For the 2021 season, you can book your wedding here at the Sweetheart Gazebo (weather-permitting) and bring along up to seven guests. You have a 45 minute period in which to arrive, have the wedding and take photographs. Your fee includes the officiant, the venue, the personalized ceremony, time for photos and pre-wedding consulation.

The Process
Upon receiving your deposit or payment, the basic ceremony is sent along to you via email. There are several vow options, suggestions for readings, elements (such as a unity candle, sand ceremony or other additions.) Once you have a chance to review the material, there is a phone or email consultation with Bishop Deb to personalize it to your wishes. All details will be finalized before the Big Day.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have been divorced outside of Canada, there is an important step before you are eligible for a wedding license. Please visit the FAQ page for more information on this.
We can recommend B&Bs, hotels, flower shops, photographers and area restaurants to make your occasion even more perfect. You may choose to have a romantic horse and carriage ride at the conclusion of your wedding -- they'll pick you up at the door!
What to Bring
You'll need an Ontario wedding license. For information on where to obtain one, please refer to the FAQ page. And the rings, camera, etc.
Arrival
Please arrive five or ten minutes before your appointed time. There is ample space in the driveway for your vehicle, so you do not have to worry about parking, which can be challenging in the summertime. Just come around to the rear entrance and Bishop Deb will greet you!
Please note that this is our home, and while there is a washroom available for your use, we do not have a change room. We expect that couples will arrive wedding-ready.
Flowers - If you are not planning on bringing flowers, we can lend you some lovely silk flowers for the Bride and Maid of Honor for the occasion.
Payment
Your wedding must be prepaid (a $100 deposit is fine) and prebooked.
Upon the receipt of your paypal payment or electronic money transfer, your requested date and time will be confirmed via email. Payments are non-refundable. The balance may be paid by phone or Paypal before the ceremony or in cash the day of the wedding.
Important:
If couples are more than 20 minutes late there is a late fee of $35.
